Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites function and (when enabled) help us understand usage so we can improve Treatdeck.
We only use two types of cookies on Treatdeck:
On your first visit you'll see a banner with clear options: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage settings. You can change your choice any time using the "Change cookie settings" link in our site footer. If you reject analytics, we won't set or load any analytics tools.
We store your choice in a first-party cookie named td_cookie_consent with the shape { essential: true, analytics: boolean }. This lets our app know whether to load analytics. The consent cookie typically lasts up to 6 months and is reset when you update your preferences.
| Category | Name | Purpose | Typical duration | Who sets it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | (session/auth cookies) | Keep you signed in, maintain session security and core app features. | Session or up to 12 months | Treatdeck |
| Essential | td_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preferences so we load only what you allowed. | Up to 6 months | Treatdeck |
| Analytics (optional) | e.g. _ga, _gid | Anonymous usage analytics to improve performance and UX. Only set if you opt in. | Up to 13 months (varies by provider) | Analytics provider (e.g. Google Analytics) |
Some Decks embed or link to third-party platforms (e.g., Google Slides, Canva, Adobe). Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. Treatdeck doesn't control third-party cookies placed by the embedded services you choose to use with your Decks.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect core functionality (e.g., sign-in).
